We live in an age where people want things to be done effortlessly. You may be able to connect with the world with a click of a button. You may be able to travel thousands of mile in a few hours. But when it comes to developing our selves it’s not something that can be done without effort or some attention. We aren’t machines that can be programs and things super fast. We are human beings, therefore to have a healthy mental setup it’s not going to be as easy as simply watch a video for a certain amount of time a day.
See, we seek attention all the time from the world, we see approval from everyone around us. It’s like we go around and looking for certificates from other people and we use these certificates to make a castle for ourselves. This castle is our self image…but when one person pulls their certificate out for just a minute the whole castle falls down, or our whole self image seems to be destroy, then we start looking for peoples approvals and we will be in a sort of a "depression" where we simply want peoples attention or approval. the definition of self confidence is this "assurance: freedom from doubt; belief in yourself and your abilities". I believe no external source can help you have this except yourself, you need to put in effort the create confidence. Other sources like friends, family, or the internet can only tell you to have confidence, but you can only sit and decide to have confidence.
Meditation is the best answer! We never sit with ourselves, we give appointment to other’s but we don’t give appointment to ourselves. Meditation is not concentration it’s more of an awareness process, where we sit with ourselves and educate ourselves about why we confidence…why we need to feel hurt and love. The awesome thing about meditation is that as you practice it you can reduce the amount of time you practice it because it will start having a permanent effect on you. But with medication or any external treatment you will have to keep increasing your dosage or the amount of time you send with the videos.
