Well, I tried a hypnosis session for weight loss yesterday, and had yet another profound experience.
Actually, the session was about sabotaging yourself, and I applied it to losing weight (you can apply any situation in your life that you want to change), because I figured that the only one stopping me is me! I would soon find out how correct that actually was.
My favorite hypnosis therapist, Wendi Friesen, has a process where you sort of meditate and go inside yourself, and you ask the part of you that wants to keep you overweight a few questions. She calls it “parts therapy”.
I realize that this may sound strange, but with first hand experience, I can tell you it is very effective at getting to the bottom of things.
I did the session and what I found out was that part of me wants me to love and respect myself so it can stop protecting me from me! Whoa! I was not expecting that! The things that you can find out about yourself (that you had no idea were even lurking in there), are completely eye opening in my opinion.
On the final question in a second hypnosis session, that same part wants me to realize my own worth. You know what I will be working on now
If you ask me, even if you don’t believe this can work for you, these messages are coming from deep down somewhere inside yourself, and hypnosis is just a way of coaxing it out.
If you would like profound insight into why you can’t stop smoking, why you can’t seen to have enough money, why you can’t seem to lose weight or whatever you want to change, I would recommend giving this method a try. I’m sure glad that I did!
